St David's Day Greetings

St. David's Day!

It is a beautiful day here in Wales, sunny but with rather a cool breeze.  The earth is responding and I have snowdrops, crocus and the tiny Tête-á-Tête daffodils blooming in my garden and my Purple Prunus tree is in bud and read to pop!  It's a little bit late this year but when it does come it delights not only me but my neighbours too!  As it is in front of my bedroom window, for a couple of weeks I can lie in bed and look out into a mass of pale pink blossom!

I have just nipped outside to take this picture but didn't stay long as it hasn't warmed up yet!

Some of you have noticed that I having been posting for a while, all I can say is that I have just not been in the mood!  Also I was beginning to get dispirited by the lack of response! I know by my stats that lots read this blog, but so very few people leave comments, so I decided to do more on my Facebook page.  I will continue to write here and on my other blogs from time to time, but if you want to keep up with me I am on Facebook.  Do come over and take a look!

I am working on a link to my page but not having much luck so far but will keep trying!

  2. Guilty of not commenting on here i'm afraid, but I do appreciate your skills and talent very much. I have done quite a few quilts in the past and I love Welsh Quilting best of all.

I follow you on Pinterest, which is where I seem to find myself more and more these days. So much inspiration and such lovely things to look at.

You can see my quilts on my View Too blog and a link to my Pinterest page if you are interested.

  3. I think it is true of many blogs, they get a lot of views but not many comments, my own blog is the same. Don't be discouraged, you are reaching a lot of people.

  4. I thoroughly enjoy reading your blog too and don't do Facebook so will be very sad if you decide to take your musings over there instead. I find it very difficult to post comments on Blogger blogs these days - maybe others are having the same problems and this is one of the reasons why you get fewer comments than before?

  5. Thought I would leave a comment! I talk to my son in the Midlands and I am envious of your weather. Any prospective snowdrops here (northeast coast of US) are buried in feet of ice and snow......good sewing weather but I think I have been severely affected by SAD this winter...love your quilts , especially as I am of Welsh background.....please send some more of your lovely snow free pictures!, dreaming if spring....

  9. Just found your blog through a comment you left on, I think, Random Jottings, and disappointed to see you will be on FB, too choppy and disorganised for me, I much prefer the flow of a blog and get to know people better. Oh well, my loss. I wish you well.

  10. Hi Mary I believe you are what we call a no reply blogger.
When I started Blogging I believe the blogger etiquette is that someone leaves a comment and you respond to that comment.
Equally when you leave a comment on my blog I click on your name to reply to you but you have no email set up so I can never reply to you.
    I hope this make sense.
I must say when you have lots of comments it does take a while to reply to them all but that's just the way it is.
